Have a prescription that you need filled?

Give us a call at 905-878-9001 or use the Pharmasave App to request a refill. It’s quick and easy!

How long will it take to fill a prescription?

Processing time varies depending on:

  • The number of prescriptions that you need filled

  • Whether your medication needs to be compounded or specially ordered

  • Whether your physician or nurse needs to be contacted about your prescription (e.g. if there are no refills remaining, or if the medication is unavailable and the pharmacist needs to consult your doctor to find an appropriate alternative)

While it usually only takes five or ten minutes to prepare each medication, we recommend that you request your medication two or three days before you need it. This will give the pharmacy team time to resolve any issues with your prescription before you run out of medication.

What if there are no refills left on the prescription?

In most cases, the Holly Pharmacy team can request a new prescription from your physician or nurse*. Simply tell us which medications you need refilled. Once your physician or nurse approves the new prescription (usually within two to three business days**), we will prepare it for you and give you a call when it’s ready.

*Some prescribers will require you to make an appointment with them before they provide a new prescription for your medication.

**Some prescribers may take up to a week or two to respond. Always request the next fill of your medication several days before you run out.

My prescription does not have any refills, but I have run out of medication! What do I do?

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, you may run out of medication before your physician or nurse is able to provide you with a new prescription. If this happens, call the pharmacy at 905-878-9001 to see if the pharmacist can provide you with a short supply of medication.
